The online portion of each class focuses on theory related to the subject, such as anatomy, physiology, and pathology. During the live class, we will focus on the necessary technique to learn the subject in a practical way.

The student must complete the online portion of the course prior to the practical portion of the class.


The MLD class is 24hrs. 6 hours are online (theory), hands on class is 12hr basic technique for full body drainage, for chronic and nonchronic edemas. 6hrs of practice for blockage and removed lymph nodes for individuals with blocked lymph-like cancer patients. 



Manual Lymphatic Drainage 

The Manual Lymphatic Drainage class is meticulously crafted to equip therapists with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively address fluid retention, edema, lymphedema, and lipedema in their clients. This comprehensive course delves into the intricate techniques and principles of manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), offering a deep understanding of its clinical application.

Throughout the course, participants will embark on a journey through the lymphatic system, exploring its anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology as it relates to various clinical conditions. Upon successful completion of the Clinical Manual Lymphatic Drainage class, participants will emerge with a comprehensive skill set and a deeper understanding of how to effectively manage fluid-related conditions, thereby enhancing the quality of life for their clients and making a meaningful impact in their practice.


Course Objectives

  • Student will be able to describe the basics anatomy of the lymphatic system.
  • Student will be able to describe the basic function of the lymphatic system.
  • Student will be able to identify the difference between Edemas and Lymphedema.
  • Student will be able to identify the location of the major lymph nodes.
  • Student will be able to identify the direction of the lymph flow and the different lymphatic watersheds. 
  • Student will be able to list the benefit of manual lymphatic drainage therapy.
  • Student will be able to list the Contraindications for lymphatic drainage therapy.
  • Student will be able to list the precautions for lymphatic drainage therapy
  • Student will be able to identify the hand pressure/depth and direction of the flow.
  • Student will be able to perform manual lymphatic drainage techniques.
  • Student will be able to adapt the technique when there is an obstruction of the lymph nodes.
